Why don't I see my Blackboard course(s)? When can I access my course(s)?

For official/MyStar courses – You will be automatically enrolled into your Blackboard course the day after you have completed the enrollment process (no holds, etc).

Once enrolled into a course, it will appear in your course list.  Unavailable courses will be marked private with a lock. Once opened, you will be able to access the course.

Typically, Blackboard courses are made available on the course start date. However, keep in mind it is at the discretion of the instructor/program of when to open your course(s). If you have any questions, please email your instructor directly. They should be able to confirm the date of when they plan to open your course.

I have a problem with my assignment, test, or course content. Who do I contact?

Contact your instructor or designated course/school support team for assistance. If there is an issue that the instructor or support team needs assistance with, they should contact Academic Computing at edtech@utmb.edu.

How is Panopto used in my course?

Panopto is our campus video management and screen/lecture capture solution. Tightly integrated with Blackboard, students and instructors access recordings from the Panopto content folder and links and embeds within the course. Your instructors may use Panopto to share recorded lectures, host videos uploaded from other platforms (Zooms and Teams) and have options to setup graded and ungraded student Panopto activities. Follow any specific instructions your instructor provides for Panopto related activities.
