Treasury Services is a key component of UTMB’s Finance division and is comprised of three core functions: Treasury, Bursar/Cash Office and Supplier Management. These units collaborate closely with Accounts Payable, Payroll and various other departments within the organization to ensure effective management of financial operations across the institution
- Treasury team oversees the management and coordination of UTMB's banking relationships, cash operations, endowment accounting, and debt and investment management. This includes banking services, credit card services, cash management and debt financing. The centralized management of these services ensures consistent service delivery, robust disaster recovery protocols and enhanced control measures.
- Bursar/Cash Office serves as a central hub for financial transactions, ensuring efficient and accurate handling of payments and funds. It oversees patients and student payments, clinic deposits, and change funds.
- Supplier Management is responsible for the creation, updating, verification and maintenance of UTMB’s vendors, while ensuring compliance with the policies and procedures established by the University.
